📸Insta360 Luna Ultra vs Luna Pro: Dual Lenses vs Single
Dual Lenses vs Single: Which Luna Camera Wins?
TL;DR
Insta360 Luna Ultra and Luna Pro battle it out, with the Ultra boasting dual lenses and superior image quality. The Pro, however, offers better value for most users.
Insta360 Luna Ultra and Luna Pro are competing gimbal cameras, with the Ultra featuring two lenses: a wide-angle main lens and a zoom lens, while the Pro lacks the second zoom lens. The main lens of the Luna cameras has a 20-mm equivalent lens with a wide, bright f/1.8 aperture and an 8K-capable 1-inch sensor, delivering significantly better image quality than the Insta360 X6 in most situations. Solo filmmakers, journalists, and content creators are the target users for these cameras, with the Luna Pro likely being the better value for most users, while the Ultra only makes sense if you want to shoot with a longer focal length. The Ultra's telephoto lens uses a smaller 1/1.3-inch sensor, offering 3X optical zoom and up to 15X digital zoom, though image quality suffers considerably with the digital zoom.
